I have created a Template with the "Create from Template" macro. And have Specified that the resulting page be created in the "SUP" Space. As soon as I click on Save, it reverts to the space the Template is in.
I saw one suggestion of creating the Macro on a page that lives in the space I want the page created to live. So, I went to the Support (SUP) Space and created a page with the "Create from Template" macro. The Space was set to SUP, even after selecting Save. I then copied it to the Template, and it reverted to the space where the Template lives.
Is there any way to have a page created from the "Create from Template" macro to live in a different space than the Template?
The Template is a Global Template.
Hi @Lisa Hanson
Page templates created in a space can only be called within that space.
However, if you create a Global Template, you need to be an Administrator of your Confluence instance and create it from the administration interface (Cog icon > Configuration > Global templates and blueprints). Then you can use it in all the spaces where you have writing rights.
You can even declare the space template in your SUP space, go to another space, and call this template in the Create from Template macro, but only if the target space for the page creation is the SUP space.
I hope this explanation helps you.

Hi @Cyrille Martin ,
Thank you for your answer.
I am not an administrator, and my company is very strict on who they give those rights.
Our administrator was helping me on this project. And he converted the template to a Global Template. I'm not sure what is involved in that, not being an admin in Confluence.
Is there anything I can do, not being an administrator? Or is there anything I can relay to my administrator to fix this?

Ok @Lisa Hanson
So a copy of your page template has been created as a global template.
What do you do with the first one you have created? Have you deleted it ?
I'm asking because, in the macro "Create from template" you need to be sure to pick the correct one (the global and not the space page template)

Hi @Cyrille Martin ,
I appreciate you working through this with me. It's just baffling.
Some history. The page that holds this macro was originally in another space. The owners of that space didn't like the fact that the new pages were created in their space. So, the page (with the macro) was moved to the SUP space. But the pages are still being created in the previous space.

Hi @Lisa Hanson
Indeed there is may be some glitch due to the move page and consequences in the inheritance and the position in the hierarchy.
Did you try to add a second time in the page the macro Create from Template with the same options, and delete the old macro ?
You could also create a second page and add manually the same content than the one you move for the other space, and see if it works.

Hi @Cyrille Martin ,
I finally got it to work, with your suggestions.
Previously, I navigated to the page that has the macro (and is in the SUP space). Then I deleted the macro and recreated. This didn't work. The page was still created in the Global Services space.
This time, I created the macro first. And then deleted the one that doesn't work. And it created the page in the SUP space!!!!!
I sincerely appreciate you sticking with me and helping me figure this out. THANK YOU!!!!
