Edit link popup won't come when the link is the head of numbered list

Hi,

Edit link popup won't show up when the link text is starting from just after numbered list header (1., 2., ...).  How can we avoid this and edit links?

Not sure I understood your question clearly. 

Can you please elaborate on "just after numbered list header (1., 2., …)" ?

A link at the start of the line of list, like

It works perfectly for me, see the below screen shot:

First thing, please make sure that you are in the edit mode. Then click on the link and you should be able to see the 'Edit link' pop-up.
