I created calendars with events that have reminders set. All reminders are turned on. I'm watching the space. I configured SMTP mail and it can send me a test email. What am I missing here that is not allowing any emails for any spaces, calendars events etc. to send me an email?
Hi Michael,
Can you let us know the version of Confluence and Team Calendar?
Are you saying that no notifications go out at all in Confluence, not even for watched pages?
Do you notice any errors in the Confluence server logs when you try to trigger a notification?
Regards,
Shannon
Thank you for the reply.
It was funny because I set up probably a dozen or more and they should have been sending me emails but today I actually got one. However, I only got them from one calendar and the other one had an event that should have been sent yesterday. What I'm not sure about is if it will work correctly if I embedded two calendars in the same page. Should I only have one calendar on each page?
Also, any idea when someone comes up with a bi-directional method of sharing Outlook calendars?

Michael,
The calendars exist on their own outside of being a macro on a page, such as when clicking the Calendar menu item. You can see any Calendars there that you're subscribed to. So if you include two calendar macros on a page in Confluence, I don't think it should make a difference. Have you tested this as well?
Earlier you mentioned you don't get notifications from spaces. For that, I assumed you meant regular updates to pages in spaces that are unrelated to the calendar macros. Can you confirm the extent of the issue?
Is the one calendar that is sending you reminders consistent? Does the same go for the one not working? Are you and other users not receiving reminders, or is it just your user?
Thank you!

Shannon

no one is getting the reminders. I have two calendars on one page and so far have only received one reminder from either of them but should have received more. All calendar events have reminders set up so they should all send an email. The odd thing about the one email I did get is that it duplicated the reminder in the email and had it listed twice which also makes no sense.

@Shannon S: I got the same problem - with Calendar Reminders service failing in the logs - i have tried to delete the plugins directories as advised at https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-clear-confluence-plugins-cache-297664846.html?_ga=2.244573125.1109945656.1530000582-364915030.1512587574 but that made Confluence not to start.
Can you help?

Hi Jiri,
The act of clearing the plugin cache shouldn't cause Confluence not to start since you're not removing any crucial files that Confluence needs to run.
Can you let me know where you found the instructions to delete the plugin cache in regards to the issue you're having?
I would recommend checking your Confluence Server logs for messages as to why Confluence won't start.
If you still have issues, then you can create a new question thread including the details from your logs about your issue, and we can have a look at it.

Shannon

HI:
The issue of Confluence not starting was resolved. Somehow delete of the cache directories caused the .cfg file to get wrong permissions - it was recommended at https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/No-job-runner-registered-for-job-runner-key-com-atlassian/qaq-p/737398
I have also created a new issue https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/No-job-runner-registered-for-job-runner-key/qaq-p/830028
