Hello there,
When we receive email notifications from users who react to a page on Confluence, it doesn't tell us in the email what the emoji used was. I think this may be the same when someone comments.
Is there a way to change this behaviour?
For example, if I created a page that someone gave a thumbs up, the email notification comes through as "User reacted to this page". Ideally we'd rather know what that reaction was/is within the email notification, rather than have to visit the page to see what it was.
I think this may be the same when someone comments, where we'd like to see the comment within the email notification.
Both would speed up workflow and be more efficient.
Thank you!
Hi
As far as I know, the default Confluence email notifications do not include information about the specific reactions added to a page or comment. However, there are third-party apps that may provide this functionality. You can check out the Atlassian Marketplace to see if there are any apps available that can enhance the Confluence email notifications to include information about reactions.
I searched some, but didn't found a good one.
Regards, Dominic
Nancy Shao's comment (Aug 11, 2023) from ATLASSIAN TEAM also reinforces this:
HI Chris, I'm the PM over on notifications and reactions- unfortunately it's not on our current roadmap to include the actual emoji in the email but we are looking into how we can make it more useful so you don't have to click into email to figure out the emoji.

Can't believe this is still a thing 10 months later. Who thought it was OK to have an email notification but not include the reaction.
