Hi guys.

Since yesterday we can't export a document to word if this document was edited and published just before the export.

Confluence shows the message:

"We’ll be back in a flash
We’ve encountered a small problem, but we should have it sorted out soon."
But it doesn't fixed nothing. Could you help me?????

Hi @Elizabeth Lima and welcome!

I've tried the same actions (edit, publish and export) and I haven't encountered any problem in exporting a page to .doc.

My questions are:

  • Does this happen only to your user?
  • Does this happen only to a specific page?
  • Did you try from another browser?
  • Did you try to clear your cache and try again (or use a private window)?

i'm having same issue. It is happening on a specific page. It happens on a page that has TOC and tables. I don't think the tables is an issue because i have other pages that I generate with Word fine.

@Alex Koxaras _Relational_  I was able to duplicate this issue along with another user at my office.  I created a new page with text only and I was able to export to Word.  After adding a table to the page we are unable to export it to Word and get the "Back in a flash" page.   When I right-click and select "Save Link As.." the download fails with a "Failed - Server Problem" message.

Export to PDF works fine, however there are formatting issues causing the tables to be compressed in the margins.

@Donald.Hanson you were right. I was able to reproduce it as well. I've raised a support ticket with Atlassian, and hopefully the team will raise a bug issue for this.

I am also experiencing the same issue.  I get the error message "We'll be back in a flash" when attempting to export to Word, but PDF works just fine.  I don.t have any images or any strange copy/paste from other Microsoft applications as others here have mentioned.

@Alex Koxaras _Relational_ thanks for the link to the ticket.  I'll watch it there.

I am experiencing this issue for pages in a specific space, but not for other pages in another space.

Hi all!

It seems that Atlassian has fixed this bug! I've tested it and now I can export pages which contain tables.
