Is the support for "Excerpt Include" in "Table Toolbox" dropped?
Since a few months I have setup a page in Confluence which consists of:
- 1 "Excerpt" which holds a "Jira Issues" overview with a specific filter
- Multiple "Table Toolbox" elements, on which a "Insert Excerpt" is placed (linked to the Excerpt on the same page)
- Each "Table Toolbox" wraps the "Excerpt" reference in "Table Transform" to eventually apply "Chart from Table"
The above was working perfectly, till last week.
When I now view the page, without any changes made, I get the following message:
"Oops, it seems that you need to place a table or a macro generating a table within the Chart from Table macro"
And when I then view the page in "Edit"-mode, I see the Excerpt with the Jira Issues is just showing the data which I expect. Also the "Excerpt Include" in the "Table Toolbox".
But when I "Edit" the "Table Toolbox" - the block linked to the Excerpts doesn't show any data anymore.
Please let me know.
Hi @mibo ,
I'm guessing we're talking about Marketplace app from Stiltsoft when you're referring to Table Toolbox?
I personally didn't use it much but if so, I would suggest reaching out to vendor directly via their support portal to see if they can assist you with this issue.
Cheers,
Tobi
Hello @Tomislav Tobijas
Thank you for your quick response.
And it is correct, we use the one from Stilsoft.
We have reached out to the vendor directly.
Awaiting their response.
Once I know more, I will update this thread here.

did you get anywhere? I've found this plugin has become increasingly unreliable of late. Particularly with more complex queries.... and don't even go there with filters.

Hi Michael,
Forgot to update this thread, but it also took a while. After few weeks of back-and-forth with their support eventually they managed to resolve the issue. I think it was released with their latest release - 2-3 weeks back.
I agree it was feeling bit more unreliable, but after the fix it now does what we were looking for - not so much complexity. But performance-wise it could be improved imho.
Are you experiencing the same issue I had?

Hello @Michael Verdun Heath, @mibo,
I am Katerina from the Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence team.
We're sorry to hear you've been having trouble with the app. We totally understand how frustrating it can be when things don't work as expected.
@mibo thanks for your patience! Is there anything in particular you’d like we as the vendor to focus on or improve going forward?
And yes, we released the fix on the 25th of February.
@Michael Verdun Heath would you mind telling me a bit more about what makes you feel that way? If you’re still having the mentioned issue or experiencing any other difficulties, we’d appreciate it if you could send over the details. Don't hesitate to contact our support team.

@Katerina Rudkovskaya _Stiltsoft_ for me the performance of loading the page (in both edit or read mode) - but unsure if this is related to the plugin or if this a Confluence thing in general.

Hi @mibo,
Thanks for the answer! Confluence Cloud performance can sometimes vary depending on a number of factors. If you're experiencing slowness when loading a page, here are a few things to check:
Are there other macros on the page besides our app? Some macros can be heavy and may impact loading speed.
How large or content-heavy is the page overall? Very large pages with many elements or large tables can load slower.
If the issue seems specific to our app, we’d be happy to investigate further—please reach out to our support team with details.
