Expand to the left or right of image

Is there way a have an expand to the left or right of a image? When I add a photo and I put it to the left (so I'm able to write to the right of the image) and I do the expand macro it always jumps to below the image. I'd like expand to be NEXT to the image. Does that make sense? Thanks!

@Addie Hutchins the expand macro is not right or left justified. It is always centered on the page. A workaround would be using layouts to create an area of the page where the Expand can sit NEXT to the image.
