Governance Questions - Page History and Version History limit?

1. How long is Page History maintained (our compliance requires 7 years of page history)?
2. Is there a maximum number of Versions (some documents may have hundreds of minor edits per year)?

You'll be happy to know there is no limit to how many page versions will be saved in Confluence.

I was able to find this feature request below in order to limit it:

• CONFCLOUD-27701 Ability to administer number of page versions for a given space or page

I am also looking for version history control for attachments only, remove the oldest and keep the latest

Is it the same for the Confluence 'Server' version? I guess so, but to be 100% sure.
