I'm losing an email address used for one Atlassian/Confluence account and want to update the email, but Atlassian complains that my updated email is used for an account already... which it is, but that's because it's me and I'm part of multiple Confluence spaces. Obviously this is a weird flaw in Atlassian to not allow several spaces to use one address.

Please reach out to Atlassian Support, they’ve helped in situations like this before and can usually merge the accounts or help move things over so you don’t lose access.

After you fill in the basic ticket details, you should be able to start a chat (there's a button / option to do so) - and quickly get a real person on the line (worked for me about 2 weeks ago).
