I want to display the "about me" information from a users profile when using the user profile gadget on a Confluence page. How can I do this?

The macro only has the one parameter, "username". I could not get it to display the About Me field on my test instance, either.
I opened a suggestion ticket to ask the development team to include the About Me field in the macro in a future release: Display "About Me" field in User Profile macro
You may comment or vote on the ticket to emphasize your use case to the developers. Doing so will add you as a watcher so you will know when there are updates.
