How can I pull user stats in Confluence?

Sandy Pflugfelder April 18, 2018

In Confluence, is there a way to pull the following stats?

  1. Total # of Members using Confluence (snapshot view)
  2. Total # of ballot votes cast in Confluence across all domains?

My client would like me to run a report of these and other user stats, and I'm not able to find how to do this.

Hi @Sandy Pflugfelder,

1.  If you are on server this url should get you a count:

http://{yourserver}/dosearchsite.action?startIndex=0&type=userinfo&where=conf_all

2.  I need to do a bit of follow-up.

Does this question relate to Confluence Questions?

Are you trying to see the total number of votes on any topic and question across all questions? By domains you mean spaces?

Hi Patrick, thank you so much for your response.  I tried to go to that URL with my server name, but it comes back with "Oops, you've found a dead link."  What my client really needs is a report that they can generate as needed with a bunch of user stats.  I was hoping I could create a dashboard.  Do you know if this is a possibility?

Hi Sandy,

Sorry but can you be more specific about the statistics you want?

Here is some SQL on returned the amount of users, maybe this works for your first part.

Hi Patrick, sorry for the delay in my reply.  Great, that query worked!  Thank you so much for pointing me to it.  The other thing I'm looking for is being able to find out how many users we had on a specific date in the past.  Is there a way to do that?  I haven't been able to find one.

I'm not sure about for a specific date but I think you could set a date range based on the query posted from the link above.  I'd ask Atlassian about that one or maybe someone with more programming knowledge than me can help.
