I have images, videos and other file formats attached to a page (not Office or PDF) that I would like to reuse in different places on the page.
Currently, as a workaround, I have to keep downloading the file locally and pasting it back into the desired location. I find this uncomfortable because it takes more time than before the cloud migration.
Previously, with the Confluence server solution, it was possible to reinsert already attached images, videos, files using the multimedia macro (Ctrl+m) or the link macro (Ctrl+k).
This is currently not possible in the cloud solution.
When is there a solution for the use case?
Hi @Sebastian Spitzer - Jack is right that capability is only available in the legacy editor. The new editor doesn't support this functionality. For more information, see Confluence Cloud editor roadmap. It looks like this feature is gathering interest.

@Sebastian Spitzer - there are multiple image features listed that are available or gathering interest.

Hi @Summer Hogan ,
it would be as convenient to have the 'attached to this page' feature of the 'insert files and images' macro in the cloud solution as it is in the server solution (on premise).
Unfortunately, I can't see on the roadmap for the cloud editor that this feature has any prospect of generating interest because it's simply missing from the roadmap. :-(
Can you suggest that the feature will be added to the roadmap?

Hi @Sebastian Spitzer ,
you can certainly copy an image and paste it using control/command+C and control/command+V. However, that will tend to chew up storage. As such another option is to simply create an anchor. Although this might not be what you want. insert-the-anchor-macro

Hello @Jack Brickey ,
Thank you very much for the quick feedback.
But neither the use of copy (Ctrl+c) and paste (Ctrl+v)
The anchor macro also dosen't help me in my case.
I have a page that has over 101 files (of different types; pdf, xlsx, png, msg) attached to it. The site was successfully migrated to the cloud on August 18, 2023. The page was converted to the new editor on September 14, 2023.
Since then, the error 'We couldn't load the file.' has persisted for all files.
It seems like the links were converted broken broken. I have the question 'File Preview - Error 'We couldn't load the file.' since conversion to new editor' submitted to the community. Ideally, there is a solution or repair procedure for this.
However, it would not be a practical workaround to download and upload all over 100 files.
It would now be an easy-to-use wordaround, the links or previews of the files via the editor.
