My team is using Confluence Cloud to enable Slack notifications. This is great! I have enabled all Slack Notifications on a Space that I maintain (Edits, Comments, +Child Pages). These notifications are routed directly to my personal channel (@<my slack username>). However i've noticed that I will also get a slack notification from my own edits and comments.
I find this to be highly distracting. Every time I make a quick edit I now also need to click over into slack to clear the notification I just generated.
Is there any way to suppress my own edits or comments?
Hi Andrew, welcome to the Community!
I understand exactly what you mean - I'm glad you find the Confluence integration helpful but know that getting notified on your own actions can be distracting.
There's currently no option to change the behavior with the integration, but we do have an open feature request to add an option toggling the notifications for your own actions. Voting on this feature request will help prioritize it with other features people are asking for.
Thanks!
Daniel
Thanks for bringing the feature request to my attention! Voted!
I'm a strong proponent of using Slack for the majority of Confluence notifications, which are often transient, quickly deprecated messages. No use having them fill up an inbox.
