How do I get a table in Confluence that is more than four columns?

Four is my max. I need more. How can Confluence be of any use to anyone without the basic ability to customize rows and columns in a table?

The Table macro only displays 4 columns, but once you have created the table and are in it, you can add more columns and rows. On the menu bar you will see options to insert before and after, delete, cut copy and paste rows and columns. Have a look at Tables for more information.

Thanks. But I only have access to those tools in the Poster template. If I'm not in the Poster template. Zilch. Nada. I can't put everything I'm working on in the Poster template, which provides the most tools that I can see (that second row). All other templates: no second row allowed.

The second row of tools are based on the context, it is not related to a specific blueprint/template. What browser are you using? Do you happen to have any extension installed that may interfere with Confluence? What version of Confluence are you using? If you are on Confluence Server the version number is in the footer if you go to your Confluence Dashboard.

@Mikael Sandberg I'm using the One-Plan business pager and tried to insert a new section with 4 columns.

I'm not seeing it. Is 4 columns still an option or discontinued?
