I am creating a page template that has an excerpt-include macro. This template is meant to be used to create child pages to a requirements page, which always has an excerpt in it. Whenever a user creates a page from this template, I would like the excerpt-include macro to pull that excerpt from the parent page.
It seems the only way I can reference pages in the excerpt-include macro is by their specific name, not by a more generic "parent page". How can I do this? What do I put in the "Page Containing the Excerpt" box to reference the current page's parent?
I am also looking for this. Did anyone find a way to implement it?
Hi, I achieved the outcome I was looking for only because we're also using the Page Tree Creator tool to create templates. Because we follow a naming convention and the template would always be launched in the same place, I was able to use 'tags' in the Excerpt Include Macro to generate what the parent page name would be. Check out Page Tree Creator in the marketplace...it might help you too.
