I added a numbering column to a table on a wiki page by clicking the icon for doing so. Now, I can't remove it. If I try to delete the numbering the column, it deletes the column to the right. If I add an intervening col and then try to delete the numbering column, the text in the table is scrambled. Thinking it might have to do with the table filter, I tried to remove the filter, it removed the table. Any advice?
Thanks for your question.
Have you tried toggling the numbered column setting in the toolbar?
I hope that helps,
Charlie

HI @Pfeifle_ Virginia ,
How was the numbering column added? Depending on how it was add and constructed on the table will lead to various results as you have observed. However, it was simply added with the button at the top for numbering column. You should be able to highlight the table and click on number column and it should be removed.
Hope that helps.

I'm not sure how it was added but I expect by clicking the icon shown in Charlie's comment. The prior user didn't intend to add it so I expect a stray click.

Note that if I highlight the table the icon is not displayed. There is a Table Filter.

Hi @Pfeifle_ Virginia ,
The standard "Insert numbering column" icon should be displayed no matter if your table is a separate one or wrapped in other macros (Table Filter, Table Transformer, etc.).
If you navigate to this icon and see that it is not active (the standard numbering wasn't applied) but you still see the numbering column and your table is wrapped in the Table Filter macro, it may mean that the numbering was created inside the macro.
You may go to the macro settings -> Table view tab -> Row numbering type and delete the numbering (leave the field blank).

Also if you need to remove the macro, copy the table beforehand and paste it outside of the macro. Then delete the macro as you've done before.
