How to add a banner in Layout Page (Velocity template)

Hi all,

I would like to insert a banner (div tag) below the toolbar (I think in Layout Page).
How I should modify the Velocity template to do this?

is your banner for the whole instance or for a specific page/space?

thanks for the reply; I had already consulted the page you mentioned but it was not useful to me.
What I would like to do is change the Page Layout velocity to show a banner after the toolbar when creating and editing a page.
I can also do this by following another way (similar to the one on the page above) but I thought this might be a better (but more complicated) way.
