I am looking to add a feedback mechanism in Confluence Knowledge Base. Does any add on or plugin or form anything like this exist any more? I don't want to use Marketplace Apps.
As a Knowledge Base contributor in my project, it would be exceedingly helpful to get feedback on a page.
Hi @Anwesha Pan _TCS_ ,
I'd say the question is, what's the expectation when you say 'feedback'?
For example, as mentioned here, the best thing Confluence offers is the page/content comments and reactions 👀
If you're searching for something more than that, you'd probably need to turn to Marketplace solutions.
A potential alternative would be to build some Jira feedback forms (JSM is even better if you have this app)/work items where users can submit their feedback on specific content.
This would require designing some kind of internal process to manage everything efficiently.
Cheers,
Tobi
Thanks @Tomislav Tobijas for answering my question and providing with the suggestions :)
I had tried initially with the page/content comments and reactions but it wasn't helpful to show it as a graph or data which I can pull to show it to my management. Hence I am looking for something more.
I will look into the the Jira feedback forms but does that work in Confluence Knowledge Base wiki page?
Thanks,
Anwesha

I'm guessing you'd like to collect information and feedback for specific pages. 👀
Considering that, with this solution, you would probably need to make some kind of field where users would insert or pick which Confluence page/content feedback they are entering refers to.
Now, you're aiming for a dropdown solution/field, that might be a bit tricky and you'd need to explore some solutions containing REST APIs, which would automatically update custom field values based on existing pages.
In any case, some deeper analysis of the actual requirement and desired result would be needed to provide a precise answer/conclusion (like how many content items you've got, how often additional content is added/deleted, which data you'd like to collect within each feedback...)
Cheers,
Tobi

Thank you so much @Tomislav Tobijas for your deep dive solutions :) I will keep exploring and working on the options you suggested until Confluence add some kind of macro :)

Thanks @Abi Brown- Kolekti that's so kind of you. I had requested for Forms for confluence but didn't get approval for free trial, may be it's blocked by our Org's admin. So not sure if that will work for me.
