Alex Oreshkin July 17, 2019

1) Old server with Connfluence is currupted and cannot be recovered.

2) New server configured with new DB Connfluence

3) I replace the new base with the old one. Names and physical location are the same as on the old server.

result: Error while trying to connect to the service.

4) I return the new database (connection file MDF)

result: same error

Dear @Alex Oreshkin ,

I assume following, due to lack of information:

  • you have copied the confluence.cfg.xml to confluence-home
  • you adapted this file to fit to the new DB
  • you configured the confluence-home path
  • you have the right JDBC drivers for your Confluence/MSSQL version at place
  • firewalls do not block any traffic between Confluence and DB
  • you took the same confluence version as the crashed machine had

If you can answer the above all with TRUE, please post the complete log message.

So long

Thomas

Thank you!

The problem was in the configuration of the JIRA.

Removed the old connections of the Confluence applications and user synchronization in JIRA. After that, I connected to the Confluence without errors (old DB).

Ok. You didn't say that you also have Jira. Next time please provide as many information as possible.
