How to embed custom code

Rutger Hofste August 12, 2021

I would like to embed a chart from the following website:

https://www.co2levels.org/

the embed code is:

<div id="co2-widget-container"></div><script type="text/javascript" src="https://www.climatelevels.org/graphs/js/co2.php?theme=dark-unica&pid=2degreesinstitute"></script>

However, I can't get it to work. I did my research and found a few options:

  1. IFrame
    1. This is not the same as the intended use.
  2. HTML embed
    1. Not available in Confluence Cloud
  3. Add on
    1. Not available for the CO2 website.

I'm stuck and like to ask you for help. Do I miss something obvious here? I'm new to Confluence.

Thank you for your help.

Out of the box, with Confluence Cloud, you only choice is to take a screen cap of the chart on the source website (you can instert the HTML link below to recreate it.

There is a commercial plugin available for Cloud that looks like it would work: html-macro-for-confluence-cloud

Looks promising, unfortunately doesn't render the embed.

Cool. Good to know that a plugin actually works. ;-) And know we know there is a working solution for Cloud.
