How to extend Confluence quick search dropdown menu?

Why Confluence Quick Search does NOT search inside PDF ?

But if you search from the search page (dosearchsite.action?queryString=) then Confluence is searching even in the PDF.

Is there a configuration option to do ?

The way the quick search works is to look for titles, not search terms within the pages or attachments.

I have a .pdf called Search term.pdf with the name Rachel within it. If I do a quick search and start typing Search then the attachment will come up.

If I type Rachel the attachment will not be found until I do a full search. To search within the content (not just the title) the full search is necessary. This doc describes it better, note that it says type the name of what you are looking for, for quick search, not a search term within the content:

To perform a quick search in Confluence, choose the search field at the top-right of every page or type / on your keyboard to place your cursor in the search field. Type the name of a page, blog post, person, file/attachment...

It is possible to workaround this by adding the Livesearch macro on the sidebar. I tested and was able to search an attachment on another space. In this screen shot you can see the syntax I used and where I put it. You can see I am in the 123 space but the attachment was found over in the Demonstration space.
