How to generate report showing how much time issue spent in one status?

Hello,

I would like to generate a report for my software project. Report outputs I would like to receive:

How many days did an issue (User Story) spend in one column until it was transitioned to another column? E.g., how many days User Story stayed in "Backlog" status until it was moved to the next status "Selected for Development"?

I would like to know ways how to create these reports, e.g., is it Jira advanced Filter or automation rules? I am using Jira Cloud version.

Unfortunately, status time is not a built-in functionality in Jira. To display status time, you can search for apps in the marketplace. Our team at Bloompeak develped 2 apps for the exact need.

• Status Time: It displays time spent on each status based on a calendar(7/24 or working hours). You can change the format of time(E.g hour,  days)
• Status Time Lite is limited version of the above app.
