I am trying to set up the File List macro to sort the attachments for the page by Name only. Currently, when I set the macro to "Name" with no other parameters (other than Ascending), it sorts them by File Type first, and then Name within it.
I would like to sort by Name only, and have it ignore File Type.
Hello Sarah,
Can you tell us, are you referring to the Attachments Macro or the Attachments Macro within the File List Blueprint?
I tested this on my own instance using the Attachments Macro, but it was sorted as expected, and I wasn't able to determine if there was a difference between the file names in that case.
Kind Regards,
Shannon
Hi Shannon, I am referring to both instances you list above.
When you tested it using the Attachments Macro, did you experiment with uploading different file types specifically?
Thanks,
Sarah

Hi Sarah,
I did, indeed. I used .jpg, .gif, .pdf, and a few others in one instance.
Do you have a particular combination of names and file names (can be as generic as you need) that I could try again with? Please also let me know the Confluence version you're using so I can see if it was an issue in a previous release.
Kind Regards,
Shannon

Hi, has this been resolved? I am running Confluence 1000.0.0-4d4a00afa6a, and I am experiencing the same problem.

Hi Maxwell,
I haven't heard from Sarah, but I would recommend reporting your issue to the Cloud Support Team so they can have a look your instance. Once it's resolved, you can come back here to let us know the results of that.
Thank you for your understanding! Do let me know if you have trouble raising a ticket.
Regards,
Shannon
