I am running a free trial of the Scroll PDF Exporter for Confluence that is currently accessible to all employees, but only a few actually need. Before the trial ends I'd like to set up free access for less than 10 people. How do I go about this? I need to create a separate Confluence instance to add those users to? Can anyone point me in the right direction for documentation because I can't seem to find any on how to do this?
Most apps do not allow you to limit who can have access to them, and if they do you always have to get the same amount of licenses for your app as for your Confluence instance, so if you have 100 Confluence users you need to get 100 user license for your app. If you want to limit the access you would have to have a separate instance for Confluence.
I was told that if there are 10 or fewer people on an instance, using Scroll PDF, there is no charge which is much better than the $172.50 we're about to be charged with the free trial ends.
Sorry, I'm very new to Jira and Confluence... How do I create a separate Confluence instance? Can you point me in the direction of good documentation for this process? Also, if I create a new instance, will the users be able to apply Scroll PDF to content on the instance we have now, or they are totally separate?

Scroll PDF Exporter is not free, you pay a $5 flat rate per month for it if you have 10 users or less on your Confluence instance.
You create a new instance the same way you created your existing one, by signing up for for a new site. And no, you will not be able to use Scroll PDF on both instances without having to pay for both, the instances will be separate.
