I can't add due date to tasks

Deleted user July 18, 2018

When creating meeting notes in Confluence, I am able to add Tasks in the template provided. However, when I try to assign a due date, the previous command of "//" does not bring up a calendar to assign a due date (See screen shot)

Did the command change?

Please edit your meeting note page and supply a screenshot of the action items area. If there is a macro in that section, what is it called?

Thoughts:  The default meeting notes blueprint has a text area for action items, not a Task List.

If your blueprint was modified to use a "Task List Macro", then the date picker might not work with that macro. Might be able to give more insight after seeing your next response :)

Disregard my previous post; looks like you are good.

Having the date picker functionality in the meeting note template may be a difference between Confluence Server and Confluence Cloud.

After reviewing the meeting notes blueprint documentation for Cloud, it only mentions @mentions functionality and not the date picker.

@[deleted],

Is this an issue specifically in one space or environment wide?

What happens if you create a new meeting note in that space and attempt the same thing?

Deleted user July 18, 2018

It occurs in all spaces to which I have access in my environment.

If I create a Blank Page, and use "//" in the text field, it prompts a date picker, but I do not see a Task List in my list of available Macros, so cannot create a Task List and add due dates to the tasks.

The task list is not a macro you have to choose in the macro selector.

In edit mode you have sorted and unsorted lists in the toolbar. And right of that is a checkbox list. When you add a date this checkboxed item it becomes the deadline. And when you use a mention the item is assigned to that user.

Thanks for that, that works for my purposes!

I do want to point out that the meeting notes template, specifically the "Action Items" section, does not allow for a date to be selected.

Can you still supply a screenshot of this section in editing mode?

No, it has not changed. But I am sorry, I have no idea why it does not work with your installation.

It still works on other pages, just not the "Action Items" section of the Meeting Notes template itself. Not sure if there is something that needs to be changed in the template, but that seems to be the problem area
