We use Confluence behind our firewall, and some of our Collegues, only need to read something so we embeded them as anonymus user.
this works fine as far as we can restrict the areas they can see and read (they dont get any write permission).
Now if i have an area, where i have some sides that not everyone is alowed to see, i can give read and write permissions to singele users on a side base..
i also would like to give those permisons on a side base to the anonymus user ! Is this possible ?
No.
Anonymous means "the user has not identified themselves to Confluence". You don't know who anonymous users are, so there is no way to apply different permissions to different people. You can only apply permissions to "anonymous" in general.
Well ok.. But the same way i could handle a group, i could handle all anonymus users as a group and give permission to a single side comparable as i do it for an area..
would be a welcome feature.

So i think, handling all anonymus users as a group and restricting their access to a single side would have been exactly what i wanted.
