A standard way to write a list is the following:
Here is a list of thing you need:
- a pencil
- a pen
- a quill
The Confluence editor will NOT let me do that. As soon as I type a '-' or turn on the bullet list, it moves the list back to be flush with the first introductory line.
There seem to have been many complaints about this, but the tickets about them (e.g. CONFCLOUD-65755) have been closed. How could the ticket be closed if it still doesn't work?
I have read many suggestions about using 'tab' to indent. I don't only want to indent, I want the indented material to have a bullet or a dash.
This is a very, very, very, basic function and should be expected to work, especially since it used to work.
Hello @Ellen Krischer

Have you considered contacting Atlassian Support directly on this topic?
Thank you. I will contact them. But I would be (pleasantly) surprised if the act of contacting them fixes for the problem.
