I would like a button on my confluence page, when clicked, to create a new page within that space.

Is this even possible? See screenshot.

Specifically, is it possible to have a custom page template launch when the button is clicked?

Thanks,

Hi Matthew,

just create a new page template in your space according to your needs and then use the "Create from Template" macro in Confluence (and select the created template as your choice for clicking the button) on a page.

Best,

Max

Hi Matthew,

were you able to solve your problem with my answer? If yes, I'd appreciate it if you could accept my answer as solution (checkmark on the left hand side of my post)

Hi Max, sort of.  Your direction worked for linking a macro to the button, however, buttons that accept macros only work when it is a button within a page. My hope was to include the same button and macro on the overview page (landing page).  Thank you for your direction and for helping me figure out how macros work.

Hi Matthew,

not sure if I understand correctly. The "button" is the macro. What keeps you from adding the macro and pointing at the template on the regular page you're using as home page for a space? Or do you mean the dashboard of your Confluence?
