Dear Atlassian community,
is it generally possible to change the creator of a space in Confluence Cloud? People are leaving the company and their names (even if the account is deactivated) are still shown in the Space details settings (Space is created by ..).
Does anybody know a solution how to change that because we would like to remove all personal information of former collagues.
Thanks in advance for your tips and help!
Hi @Malin Rathjen ,
unfortunately, this task can't be performed on cloud side. There's an open request for that https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-72561. Please vote and watch it in order to keep you up-to-date.
Hope this helps,
Fabio
Hi Fabio,
thanks for your quick reply. I voted for the issue. Just one final question on that case: it is correct that this information (the users name) is not deleted even if the managed account is deleted, isn't it? If the deleted managed person/account is for example a page creator/owner the users name is deleted and from then on displayed as 'former user'. Would be happy about a feedback! Thanks!

Ciao @Malin Rathjen ,
your user should be deactivated (https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/deactivate-a-managed-account/). In this way your issue will be maintain the reporter name even if he has no more access to Jira.

Hi Fabio,
I also voted for this issue. We recently migrated to the cloud and we see the "former user" account in Confluence and Jira. When an issue is updated, it creates a new user in our instance of Jira Align. It's become a very big issue for us and takes constant monitoring.
Until the issue in Confluence is resolved, do you know if there's a way to default the "former user" to a person that is still with the organization? At least in Jira?
