Hi,
I am working on a new process for project stage/status visibility where the idea is to be able to track pieces of work on one view. As in initial step, I have setup a Projects Directory using Confluence Databases table layout. I have manually added Jira epics and versions etc but it would be good to have a process that could automate this and fill in the relevant details whenever a new epic is created.
Short answer: not at this time.
I do not believe there are REST API endpoints to alter a Confluence database, other than the ones to create, read, and delete one. And automation rules rely upon the REST API to perform actions so updates are not supported.
Here is a suggestion to add the capability to alter a Confluence database. You may watch / vote for it to see any progress: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-77328
Kind regards,
Bill
Thanks @Bill Sheboy for your response
I have never really worked with REST API but I'll still for this, anything that make things easier and more agile.
Tbh I was hoping that I could do something using jql and Jira automation but so far I have not come across anything like that.
