A project wants to share a Confluence page with the customer that is always up to date. The customer would not be a Confluence user and not have a Confluence account.
You can set up a space to allow anonymous access. I would highly recommend not allowing anonymous users to edit a space. You set that up in space permissions.
Thanks David: Wouldn't that allow ALL anonymous users? I'm sure this team does not want full-public access --I think this project manager is looking to allow just his one customer to view -- without actually using one of the licenses.
Personally, I am not in favor of it since one of our management criteria is project security & confidentiality.

No, the only way to not use a license is to allow anonymous access. You could limit it to using only one license by having a shared account, but that is the only way to do it. Read only accounts still use a license.

Hey Kevin,
It sounds like this space would need to be made public:

If anonymous access is turned off though, this wouldn't work.
I think there are probably many security considerations to weigh when making this decision.

Thank you Meg. That is what I was thinking: I am inclined to just use a license rather than open the site up for public consumption.
