Is there a bug relating to the page properties report that results in some values not being shown?

garylester January 31, 2022

I have created a page properties report:

1) added page properties macro to a confluence page (page 1)

2) added a table inside the page properties macro (page 1)

3) added a label to the page (page 1)

4) added a page properties report macro to a different page (page 2) at a higher level where the macro uses the label described in step 3 above

5) several of the values in the table on page 1 do not come through to the summary table on page 2

See supporting screenshots attached.

Missing values

1. One of the epic links is not displaying

2. One of the values for 'Project name' is not displaying

Hi @garylester

Welcome to Confluence!!

Can you include Headers in Configuration of Page Properties Macro and check the columns are showing up

Thanks,

Thanks Pramodh

I have listed all of the columns, they are visible but as you can see the top one is missing the Epic link which is definitely populated so it should appear as the others already do.

This is why I think it may be a bug

Hi @garylester

Can you share the screenshot of the table in page properties?

I'm seeing a similar behavior since we upgraded from Server v7.4 to v7.13 LTS.

We are using dynamically build tables inside our page properties macro to fetch overall test results from a second table via "transform tables" SQL:

Page View:
Page_view.png

Edit View:

edit_view.png

As you can see this is working fine on each individual page.

However, the page properties report macro that sits on a different page is only showing values for the columns of the "static" table:

properties_report_view.png

I explicitly mentioned the columns in the configuration of the page properties report macro, but that did not fix it:properties_report_configuration.png

The page properties report macro was working fine with v7.4, so I'm guessing that some of the improvements that went into the macro since 7.4 made it less useable for dynamically generated content.

Hi @Julian Walter ,

I see that you use our Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app - you may use the Table Excerpt/Table Excerpt Include macros instead of the Page Properties Report macro.

The Table Excerpt/Table Excerpt Include macros allow you to collect tables by labels and show the page source meta data.

Hey @Katerina Kovriga _Stiltsoft_ ,

thank you for the advice. I'll give it a try. :)

@Pramodh M - I have attached the page properties table and the project summary level which has the page properties report. You will see that the epic link is visible in the page properties table however it doesn't get surfaced in the page properties report.
