Is there a way to establish a link to a file share (vs. an internet link to sharepoint link)???

Hi - I've used the insert link capability and have established links for many internet sites and other Confluence pages.  

I need to now create links that provides access to a file share in support certain data.  access to an office share site on a company network.

Does anyone know how to do this please?  The basic link macro does not work I find.

I am asking about a file share connection, not a jira issues or a URL link.

Please pay closer attention to the To a Specific URL section where it tells you how to link a page to any URL (such as a link to a file share). Cheers!
