Is there any way to bulk edit or remove labels in archived pages?

I have a number of labels that are no longer being used, but they continue to appear in the Label List macro. The labels are not used in any of my active pages nor in any of the trashed pages. They were used only in the previously archived pages.

I'm dealing with hundreds of pages and would rather not restore the archived pages individually just to get rid of the labels.

When I click the label name in the Label List macro, it says "There are no pages at the moment." I want to reduce clutter and remove the unused labels but there doesn't seem to be a way to do so.

I'm not aware of a built-in way to do this, but I think ScriptRunner would work for this.

Thank you, but I've already tried scriptrunner and it didn't work; it doesn't look in the archives.
