Is there any way to get rid of these confirmation hints when moving, deleting pages?

In my opinion these hints are quite unneccesary, but this is not the point I am talking about.

When I reorganize the content these hints are often overlapping the next page to be moved. So I have to wait or x them away. This is quite annoying to do that every time, or to wait until this hint dissappears. Furthermore I see not real benefit in it. Redo okay, but when you figured out, that you have to redo, this hint is gone.

Is there any way to switch them off?

Hello Stefan,

Thank you for contacting us.

I don't believe there's a way to disable those notifications on Cloud, but I see that my colleague, Diego, was assisting you with the very same issue back in May:

Would you be able to reply to his request for more information there? That way he can continue to help you and to see if there's some workaround for you.

Regards,

Shannon

Hello Shannon,

Well I think what Stefan meant was confirmation messages after moving page, which is blocking some pages behind and if you are currently reorganizing these on the bottom of the list than you must every time manually x them away.

I'm very sorry to say that I think it's a really poor UX design and productivity obstacle. (It almost look like team behind Windows8 moved to atlassian:-))

And it's not the same thing as 'Hints asking about experience' - so the issue back in May is about something different.

See attached screenshot please - this is the problem:

Stefan,

if I'm right and we are dealing with the very same problem, I've found out "workaround" in disabling this object with uBlock extension, but it's definitively not a solution for everyone... Maybe this will help somebody.

Hi David,

I've raised the below request for this, since it does take about 8-9 seconds for the notification to dismiss itself.

  • CONFCLOUD-68188 Moved page dialogue does not dismiss itself in a timely manner

In the meantime, can you try reordering the pages from your Space Settings, under Content Tools > Reorder Pages? I tried this on my end and it doesn't cause the notification to appear.

Let me know if you have any trouble.

Regards,

Shannon

Hi Shannon,

thank you for your effort. But to be honest - what I only want is option "Disable notifications". That's it, nothing more.

Hi David,

It won't be possible to disable those notifications entirely, but please send the feedback to our development team. You can do so through the "Send feedback" option in your avatar menu.

Shannon

Came here to complain about exactly the same thing. It's bad enough we have to delete each page individually; now we have to do an additional click to delete pages that happened to be towards the bottom of the navigation pane.

In general the notification popup is utterly and completely useless. It really just serves to indicate that Confluence cannot properly handle "undo/redo." Instead of letting you just traverse back and forward through your actions, it does something unfixable, then pretends that telling you it did something unfixable is a sufficient response.

You guys literally took time out of fixing work flow flaws to put up a flag that reminds people that you have work flow flaws you can't fix. And that, itself, causes more work flow flaws.

I honestly do not understand how your organization functions.

Agree. Unnecessary, and it covers pages when you are working at the bottom of the tree. Need a "notification" setting switch to turn these off.. OR Move them to a section of the page where they are less annoying e.g. bottom right

Just imagine. Instead of fixing a bug like, say, when you import a table of Jira issues to Confluence, the To Do color coding changes from gray to blue while the In Progress changes from blue to yellow, they added popups that tell us what we just did and give us eight seconds to undo it, but really just get in the way and force you to click even more times to get the same work done.

I mean, if you could scroll back through those popups and undo actions at will, that would be impressive. Instead, it's just absurd.

Honestly. Do. Not. Understand.
