Issues configuring synchrony for confluence data center

Hello,

Testing out Confluence Data Center setup on a local VM. It's an upgrade from Confluence Server to Data Center to be exact. The upgrade was fairly straight-forward, just followed the instructions and it just worked. However, running into issues with synchrony - no big surprise there.  ;)

I followed the instructions and created a script to launch synchrony as a process, I've also changed the default port for synchrony - on the surface everything is great, in the collaborative editing admin panel it's all "green", heartbeat returns OK, however, the moment I try to create/edit a page things turn sour - spinner on the edit button for a minute, then it times out and goes into the edit with the following message:

Specifically if would be awesome to know what these two mean:

• Could not verify  AppID/Secret for real-time collaboration service
• This instance could not be registered with Synchrony

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. If you have some insight to share, please do.

I had the same problem. For me Step #5 from the atlassian docs helped (had the nonproxyhosts configured wrong)

Can someone help by providing a fix or workaround ? we are also seeing the same error after migrating from Confluence Cloud to Confluence Server (6.4.2).

Team, 

I was able to fix this issue with re-creating the JWT Private and Public keys and configure the same within confluence.cfg.xml file.

Collaborative editing is working.
