We have some customers with 2 projects:

Operational - JSM

Development - JSW

Due to customers need access to "Development" , they have a JSW license.

But - with the current setup, they can also see issues in "Operational" with the JSW license, problably due to the Issue Security Scheme where:

Reporter

is in. What is the best approach witj KISS in mind, I would hate to have 2 Issue Security Schemes - but I do have different Permissions schemes for the 2 types.

Thanks @Stefan Stadler

It was a misconfig - removing the "NotifyOnIncidentCreation project role" from the permission scheme - and the user has no rights via JSW - only portal

This is basically the same as putting in the Reporter here. But good catch on that.

Hi @Normann P_ Nielsen _Netic_

actually, I would guess that the reporter is also part of the "Browse Project" permission in both Permission schemes. If you remove the reporter in the JSM Permission scheme from the "Browse Project" permission, it should not bother the Issue security scheme. The Issue Security scheme should not be able to increase the permission level given by the project Permission scheme.

If the above did not help: Do you mind sharing the two permission schemes as screenshots so that we can check?

Hope this helps!

Stefan

Hi Stefan

This is part of the "Support-Service Permission Scheme":

The reporter is not a part of the "Browse Project" - but this is the status:
