We make heavy use of labelling on our pages and use templates with labels to enable this.
Since the recent "upgrade" in style, we have moved our old templates over to the new page style, however the labels do not "stick" to the templates meaning that pages created using the templates do not get appropriately labelled and require manual labelling.
This is breaking the way we use and manage confluence for gathering information. Please advise on why this is happening and how to resolve.
Hello @costantinos.fassis ! As I understand, you have edited your templates so they are in line with the new editing experience and now labels defined within the template itself are not shown after pages are created with the templates.
I tried to replicate the behavior by creating a new template under Configuration > Global Templates and Blueprints but was unable to. Here we have screenshots of what I see:
Global templates and blueprints page:
Label List dialog in template creation:
Label list in created page:
With these results in mind, I would like to understand the procedure you have gone through. Is it the one shown here in our documentation:
Let me hear from you!
Your steps have copied exactly what I have done, (repeatedly) to create templates, however sometimes (not every time) when creating pages with these templates, the labels are not present on the page and after re-editing the template I find the labels are no longer associated with the page.
I am wondering if the edit template experience somehow requires teh labels to be added every time the edit occurs (this does not appear to be the behaviour) but I can not identify why the existing labels are removed. pls help
