Licensing: Read only access for org to Confluence/Jira

Baron E. Schaaf September 14, 2023

We want to use Confluence to document our IT projects.

We have less than 10 users who write things, but up to about 30 people we want to be able to read things.

Less than 100 people overall in Azure AD org.

We are not currently using SSO.

We also have Jira.

  • Should we use Atlassian Access?
  • Is there a way we can make it cheaper so that we only pay for the confluence editors and still allow anyone in the org to view the pages?
  • Come to think of it, we'd like to have stakeholders view Jira data, but again no hand in editing, being assigned or anything.

TIA

@Baron E. Schaaf Welcome to the Atlassian community

You should look at getting premium for the ten people that edit the pages in Confluence.  Set the site up for anonymous access https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/set-up-public-access/   and then IP allow your companies IP address so your employees when on site or using the VPN can access the Confluence site https://support.atlassian.com/security-and-access-policies/docs/specify-ip-addresses-for-product-access/

How many company users use Jira?

We have around 10, but starting at less than 10.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll work on it.
