Link to the next page in the hierarchy

Hi All

I would like to add a link to the next page on the same hierarchy level at the bottom off each confluence pages. This is going to be a handbook and would make it easier for people for the reading flow.

Is there a macro I could use generating that link, so I don't have to change it every time I rebuild the hierarchy?

For Confluence Cloud specifically, let's all vote for this issue to encourage Atlassian to implement the solution we're all looking for here.

Looks like it was last updated 27/Feb/2025, so here's hoping that a bunch of new votes will tip the scale for this to get built in the near future. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for your reply. Using the anchor would require me to set the links manually for every page.

I'm looking for an "automated" concept where the link on each page pointing to the next page in the hierarchy would be generated automatically by confluence everytime the page is beeing displayed.

Is there anything (makro or html code snippet) within Confluence supporting this?

Unfortunately not. We had to remove our idea and the buttons (Previous / Next) from the bottom of the pages. The effort to maintain the link to the next page for the whole page collection on the site would have been to much work.

I'm actually looking for the same solution: a dynamic link for previous or next page in order or to jump back to the top page

It's a must to have a dynamic links, because the order of the subsites may change as new sites will be added. And maintaining that with static links, that would be to much effort and also error prone.

I actually can't believe there's no simple solution to this .... :-(
