Macros cannot be edited or added after upgrade to Confluence 6.2

We have a similar problem as this , but the suggested steps have not worked for us.

After upgrade from Confluence 5.8.9 to 6.2.0, we are having issues with page macros.  Some tests we ran:

  • can past video url and macro gets added to page
  • can use the shortcut ! to attach a file to the page
  • if using the shortcut {, we get a pop-up message:  FAILED TO GET MACRO DETAILS
  • if we try to EDIT an existing macro, nothing happens (macro config options do not appear)
  • if you try to add a macro with the Macro + on the menu, nothing happens

Plugin cache was done after upgrade, before startup

Just fyi - we also rebuilt the index from scratch, before startup

Default Macro Metadata Provider plugin was aleady enabled by system

Looking for some other suggestions to check.  Thanks :)

I would suggest reaching out to Atlassian Support for this now, as it could be that you will need to rollback and do the upgrade again, but hopefully thats not the case.

I would suggest going into plugin safe mode and see if you still have the issue. That would eliminate any plugins being the issue

Are there any failures in the startup logs? What Database ,and version ,are you using?

This one is on a 5.6.36 MySQL database

Nothing helpful so far in the logs, btut will send a support zip over to Atlassian.  Thanks again!
