Macros not working anymore after updating to 7.2

Hello,

we have upgraded our Confluence to the latest 7.2 version.

We are not able anymore to use most of the default macros in confluence.

For example, if we try to load the page tree macro into a page, nothing is happening.

The instance is running on a Windows server with the default JRE that come with the setup.

All the old pages that used the macros are shown properly. But when we try to add a macro (some like the global reports is working but most of them are not loading) or edit an existing page that has f.i. the page tree macro, the windows shows that is loading for ever.

In the logs, nothing is found.

It is very crucial for us to solve this problem. What could it be?Any ideas?

Thank you for reporting this issue to us. 

Can you please test the following?

1. Run Confluence in Safe Mode and see if the issue persists. If it does not, there may be a 3rd party add-on that is causing this issue.
2. Try in other browsers and in the browsers Incognito/Safe Mode and let me know if the issue persists.
3. Temporarily remove all customizations and see if the issue persists.

You will also want to check your Confluence Server Logs and see what error messages are being generated when you attempt to insert the add-on.

thank you for your reply. Your tips helped us find the problem and the solution.

It was the "Numbered Headings" Addon that was causing the problem.

After deactivating it, the problem was resolved.
