Hi everyone,
I have several global page templates. Most of them are only relevant to certain organizational units of the company, e. g. templates for HR, Law, Business Administration, etc.
I would like to make them only avaible to spaces with the according context. HR-templates only to HR-related spaces and so on. My idea is to have an administration page where I can select a global page template and select all the spaces in which they should be available. At the moment I only see the option to create them as space specific page templates and copy them over between all the spaces. Changing them later on is an absolut hassle.
Has anyone found a solution or even addon for this? Any idea?
Thanks allot
Manuel
Hi
I guess the simpler solution is to create a global template like you did but disable it in every space you don't want it from the space admin page.
But it's not optimal. Maybe you can have a look to the marketplace apps such as Blueprint Creator - Advanced Templates: Pages, Blog & Spaces.
Hi Florian,
sadly not even hiding/unpromoting global templates in individual spaces works so far, as stated in this post: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Hide-global-template-from-specific-space/qaq-p/1942144
The according feature request is not being considered by Atlassian: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-2370
Thanks for your quick response anyway.
