Hi,
lately I've noticed that, when I use "Meeting notes template", that the page is created under a new "Meeting Notes" sub-page within the space, instead of being created under the sub-page, where I tried to create it (I've double checked the path within the edit of the page, it seemed to be about to be placed, where I wanted it to be).
Is this a new "feature"?
Thanks,
RA
Hi Radek,
Our development teams are working on the Confluence editing improvement features. As a result of this, they have rolled out few changes and Meeting Notes are part of it. The change in parent page of any page created using Meeting Notes is the residue of the new editing feature being rolled out.
However, I would like to suggest you a workaround for this issue:
Once the new meeting Notes page is created under the Meeting Notes index page, you can manually move it by dragging and dropping to the parent page you wish, with proper permissions.
Cheers
Suren Raj
Hi,
I am already doing the "workaround" (where I usually also want to delete the newly created sub-page, as it doesn't make sense to have it). May I ask, when is this issue going to be solved?
Thanks,
RA

Thank you so much for reporting this, Radek.
We also have been unpleasantly surprised by this behavior.
Suren, I can't tell from your answer if this is expected new behavior or it is a bug that the development team will be fixing.
If it is a bug, can you tell us the timeline of when it will be fixed?
If it is a feature, is there already a Jira Issue started for people to report they don't like it?
The work around is something I could do for a short while, but it is very frustrating long-term. We keep meeting notes with the related project, not all mixed together for an entire space.
Thanks!

Hi,
FYI there is also a ticket https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-65626
Atm it looks like, that Atlassian is ignoring the issue.

Thank you, Radek. I'm sharing it with my company to vote.
I hadn't even gotten to a project that was sensitive, so it hadn't occurred to me the really terribly privacy implications of this behavior noted in that issue!
Hopefully they will take note of this soon.
Natalie

this is also an issue with our project. the meeting notes page is created under "archive", and teams have to go and manually move it. a terribly annoying bug, and it's odd because this wasn't an issue about a month ago. not sure what happened. hopefully Atlassian fixes it

For those who have Space or Admin permissions I simply copied the template content and created a new template (with a few minor modifications). I've found when I use my version of the template it doesn't create the sub-page. Hope folks find that useful!
