Migrating Confluence account and content

I have some spaces and pages in Confluence using an account of a company of mine. I set up another new company and purchase a new account of Confluence for it.

Now I need to move or copy some of the spaces and pages from my original company account into the Confluence of this new account.

Is exporting using XML the way to go? Will all my spaces and pages formatting and images be reserved correctly?

You got it! XML export/import is the cleanest way to move content from one instance to another, preserving formatting and images. Please see Import Content Into Confluence for more details.
