Migrating Confluence from Server to Cloud - Unknown macro

Hi,

We are preparing for the migration and testing it - there are a lot of macros / add-ons in our server-hosted instance. Some of them are shown in read mode with Unknown macro: 'macro-name'.

JIRA Macro Repair is executed, but didn't help with all of them.

1. How to migrate / convert all kind of macros / add-ons before/when/after migrating to cloud and avoid manual cut content from macro + paste it outside macro? There is a lot of them and a lot of pages to be migrated. Manual work would last for a very long time, and is not resistant to mistakes. There are also nested macros.
2. How to get a list of macros and add-ons used only in specific spaces? Macro usage feature shows all macros used in all spaces, but we won't migrate all spaces, only 10 spaces out of many spaces.
3. How to know in the page content what is macro and what is add-on? Example: for numbered-headings I found add-on: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/16063/numbered-headings?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

Hi Nena 

On the Server Instance, you can use the Macro Usage Report. There you can see the keys of the macros and the apps they come from.  If you click on each entry, the search will show you all pages with these macros so you can edit them if needed.

To fix the unknown macro issue in the cloud, you must install (sometimes upfront) the corresponding apps in your cloud instance. 

For childtabs, for example, you can work anytime (still afterward possible) install Navitabs, and all is working again.

thank you for the response. 

Macro usage feature shows all macros used in all spaces, but...
There are a lot of spaces and we will migrate only 10. Every of those 10 spaces has a lot of pages.
I need a list of macros used only in those 10 spaces, to not spend time on macros used in spaces that won't be migrated.

Buying add-on isn't really an option - because of the costs.
But I would like to know which of them are macros and which are add-ons, to check the price. If some of them are not expensive, perhaps buying would be an option.

User needs content of the macros, not really the macro alone. But the content (text, pictures, tables with text and pictures...) is "hidden" in the macros and therefore can be seen only in edit mode. How to get the content out of those unknown macros so users can view it (without manual work)?
