We are currently on Confluence 5.6.6 hosted in house and thinking of moving over to the Cloud option. Has anyone done this before on such an old version? We are out of maintenance license so want to understand what steps would need to be done to complete this.
Hello @Teresa Yette,
This page: Migrate from Confluence Server to Cloud describes the migration steps. Note the below warning:
Confluence Cloud accepts site and space imports from Confluence Server instance running version 5.10.x or later. If your instance is running an earlier version, you'll need to upgrade it before completing the site or space export.
You'll have to upgrade your Confluence Server from 5.6.6 to 5.10.x or later before migrating to Cloud. You should be able to do so using an evaluation license.
Hope this helps!

What if we can't upgrade from v5.5.6? We would have to pay $200k to backdate support & maintenance which we won't do because we're migrating to the Cloud.
I need a way to manually export a handful of spaces from Confluence Server to Confluence Cloud, without using Migration Assistant
