Dear all,

I just wanted to migrate my confluence spaces from on prem confluence (version 5.5) to Confluence cloud.

I went to space settings and hit export (xml).

After importing the space to confluence cloud, there are no attachements in the space and on the pages where attachements were used it displays

When opening the zip export from my on premises export, I can see a folder with attachments. So it seems to me that they were all exported.

Hope you can help me!

Thanks in advance!

Hi Christian,

I wouldn't advise migrating from Confluence 5.5 to Cloud without first upgrading.

If you upgrade Confluence to the latest server version, then you can use our migration assistant to help move your spaces over to Cloud.

The Cloud Migration Assistant for Confluence app replaces the need to manually export and import individual spaces one by one, allowing you to move spaces from Server to Cloud in a seamless, straightforward process.

Give that a try and let us know if you have any questions.

Shannon

Hi Christian,

Shannon's recommendation is spot on. However, you don't have to upgrade all the way to the latest version.

The Cloud Migration Assistant for Confluence will work for Confluence 5.10.

Cheers,

Byron
