Missing the Left Pane Icons and Text

Upon creation of a new space, I am missing the "Overview," "Blog," icons/text/links that float beneath the Title of the space and above "Space Settings." I have no idea what I've done so that they no longer appear when a new space is created, but I would really like them back. Anyone know how to correct this? I just tried creating two more, and none of the new spaces have these nav links. :(
