Setting up Starter edition 6.15 with postgres server, Win2012R2, IIS, reverse proxy
Login, administration site navigation is working. No creating or editing in desktop browsers (Chrom FF, IE, Safari) possible. Instance is working well from mobile app.
How do I get it working?
Hello there!
This issue can be caused by a number of factors, one of them being browser add-ons. So, the first thing we could try is to check if this works with no browser plugins enabled.
Secondly, we can try and check if this is not being caused by a third-party plugin for Connie. For this, we can follow like:
- Click the Cog Icon
> Add-ons
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page
- Click Enter Safe Mode
- Proceed to enter safe mode
Entering safe mode disables all user installed add-ons. So, scheduling a downtime for your instance might be the best approach.
WE can also try to disable Synchrony and check if the page edit starts working again. For you to disable Collaborative Editing, we must:
- Click the Cog Icon
> General Configuration
- Search for Collaborative Editing
- Click Change Mode
- Select it as Off
- Check if the issue persists
Further, could you give us a little more information on this?
- Is this affecting any user?
- Is this affecting any machine?
- Has this worked at some point in the past?
- Are you able to bypass the proxy and check if the issue persists?
Further, you can also take a look at Proxying Atlassian server applications with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
Looking forward to your reply!
Followed suggestion #2 (disable Synchrony) and it's now working. Wondering about occuring problems with desktop browsers only. Mobile version is working out of the box (with enabled synchrony).
BTW, I was following "Proxying with IIS" docs. But somewhat must be missing preventing Synchrony to work.
